eNow Inc. Displays Solar-Panel Powered Renewable Energy Management Systems at Work Truck Show 2013

During the 2013 edition of the Work Truck Show, eNow Inc. displayed its renewable energy management systems which use power from various inputs, including solar panels, to provide energy.

At the Work Truck Show 2013, eNow Inc., based in Warwick, RI, highlighted the benefits of its renewable energy management systems which receive power from solar panels, as well as other environmentally-friendly technologies.

The eNow system combines energy from various sources to provide power for auxiliary functions of a vehicle. Unlike traditional auxiliary power units (APU), the eNow system receives energy from the power grid, an alternator, regenerative braking and proprietary solar panels. As the company develops the technology further, it intends to also provide power to the APU using exhaust recovery systems, regenerative shock absorbers, CO2 recovery and wind.

eNow's goal is to help reduce the use of fossil fuels and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, as well as provide solar solutions to industries and applications where it will be most beneficial.
